All past, present and future band families are invited to join us on Monday, April 14that Gate City Brewing (43 Magnolia St, Roswell, GA 30075). This is a great chance to enjoy some food and drinks and get to know your fellow band parents better. Gate City will make a donation to the band for every beverage sold! Non-Alcoholic drinks are available and you are encouraged to bring your own food if needed. We would love to see everyone there!
M.A.R.C.H. SERVICE DAY TUESDAY 4/15
Please mark your calendars for our Service event after school on Tuesday, April 15th 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm. We want all of our current classroom band, marching band, indoor percussion and guard students and families to come out and help. This year, our service project is going to stay close to home as our band room, storage and practice areas need some TLC. We will be working on campus after school for some much needed clean-up and repair.
APRIL BOARD MEETING TUESDAY 4/15
This months board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15th at 7:00 pm. Join us in the band room or via Zoom. The Band program is always active. Come get involved in your amazing kids musical side hustle.
Spring mini-camps and summer practice sessions begin April 16th
Our 2025-2026 marching season will kick off on Wednesday, April 16th with our Spring mini-camps. These mini-camp sessions are open to all rising 7th-12th grade students who are interested in participating in Marching Band or Color Guard this fall. These sessions are a chance to see what Marching Band and Guard are all about and work on a few fundamentals. The mini-camp sessions will wrap up on April 30th with a parent and student meeting to get all the information to register for the upcoming season.
Percussion and Guard will have continued sessions through the summer to get extra skills practice. These sessions will allow students practice if they would like to try a new instrument or continue to develop on their current instrument so they are fresh for band camp in July. We encourage all percussion and guard students to attend as many sessions as they can over the Summer.
BAND BANQUET: SAVE THE DATE
Mark your calendars! Our Band Banquet will be Wednesday, May 14th. This event is for all of our current classroom band, marching band, indoor percussion and guard students and families. More details will be shared soon but we hope everyone can attend.

FUNDRAISERS: ONGOING AND UPCOMING
M.A.R.C.H
Our annual M.A.R.C.H fundraiser is live! Parents and Students, please take time this week to locate your personal MARCH fundraising page in MTK and share the donation link with your family and friends. This is our annual tradition of raising money and giving back through service. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to support our entire band program. Please encourage your friends, neighbors and family to consider making a donation today.
Parents - this is our single largest fundraising event every Summer. We need all of our Parents, older siblings and even friends of the family to sign up to volunteer to manage concessions at concerts at Ameris. You will get to hear some great live music, raise money for the band and also earn some credits toward your students band fees for 2025-2026.
The season kicks off on April 26th. We need volunteers ASAP for the April/May concerts so we can get a strong start to the season. The proceeds from Ameris ensure that we have funds for all the staff needed for Marching Band and the start of the school year.
BOARD POSITIONS AVAILABLE: VP of FUNDRAISING & CO-TREASURER
There are a couple of positions that need filling for this year’s booster board. Give the positions a look below and reach out to Kristy Reiver or Amy Kingry at president@roswellband.com if you feel you can fill this need for the band.
Co-Treasurer:
The co-treasurer will work with our current treasurer, Renee Lewis. This position requires only a few hours of work per week keeping the financials of the band up to date to ensure we remain within the budget proposed for the season. This position will require an average of 1-3 hours during Marching Band season and 1-2 hours a week the remainder of the year.
VP of Fundraising:
Fundraising is critical to our band program. Fulton County Schools funds only about 30% of our program each year. Most of the funds we need to support additional class instruction, resources for marching band, indoor percussion and guard are funded by fees and donations received through our fundraising efforts. We need 1 or 2 parents who can take the lead on overseeing and growing these events. This is a position that can largely be managed from home but will require an hour or two each week to ensure success.
Both board positions would allow you to participate in the larger board voting and decision-making process and help drive the vision of the program as it continues to grow.
