This months Booster meeting is on Tuesday, January 9th at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to join. We will be meeting live in the band room or you can call in via Zoom (link below). See you there!
All volunteers are required to re-register online to be able to begin volunteering again starting immediately. Once you re-register, your volunteer status will be good through May 31, 2026.
Fulton County School is discontinuing the current Raptor sign-in process and replacing it with Infinite Campus Checkmate. Click this link to complete the re-registration.
IF YOU ARE VOLUNTEERING FOR ROCK-A-THON, THIS RE-REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO JANUARY 13!
ROCK-A-THON VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The rescheduled Rock-a-Thon is THIS Saturday and we still need volunteers! We have food providing opportunities (snacks, meals) and chaperoning shifts open. Chaperoning will be a mix of keeping an eye on the kids as well as keeping the fun going. Please review the links below and sign up to help! And a huge thank you to Roswell Presbyterian Church for hosting our event.
Saturday, February 10th, RHS Band will be hosting the 1st GIPA Indoor Percussion Competition of the 2024 season. This event will bring 14 different indoor drumlines from various schools in the area and a few out of state. This is an awesome opportunity to raise money for the band and showcase our school and our band program.
This is an all hands on deck event for volunteers. We will need all the help we can get so all band students and parents are encouraged to volunteer in whatever way they can for the Feb 10th event. A sign up has been created with numerous opportunities in many different areas. Please click the link below and see where your name can be plugged in.
If the answer is yes to any of these, keep on reading.
For the GIPA Feb 10th event, numerous spectators and participants will be visiting the campus throughout the day. And many will desire a chance to peruse trinkets or homemade goodies and shop for souvenirs. Anything you can make or bake would be donated and all profits earned would go directly to support Roswell Band! This opportunity is open to any band student or parent and not limited to indoor percussion participants.
We've gathered a list of all the schools coming including colors and mascots so you can show off your creativity anyway you choose. Examples of creative ideas could be earrings in school colors or cookies made in school colors or mascot shapes.
If you are interested in showing off your artistic and culinary skills, fill out this form with what you think you can make along with how many items you think you can make. All items should be individually wrapped for selling.
Hopefully you are enjoying our new partnership with Artifex Coffee! As a reminder, Artifex Coffee is owned by a fellow RHS parent, and their delicious coffee is roasted locally in Alpharetta. Artifex offers a collection of coffee roasts, whole bean or ground to your preferred brew method. Don't forget to use code RHSBAND at checkout so the Band will receive 20% of the cost of purchase.
