M.A.R.C.H. stands for Musicians Acting with Responsibility, Compassion, and Hard work. This is our largest annual fundraiser and supports all of our band students from classroom bands, marching band, color guard and indoor drumline. Our goal is to raise a significant amount of the operational funds for the RHS band in a single workday. We are also striving to create ownership within the band student body while making a substantial impact in our community. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to our band program!
There are two parts to this event. 1st is our online fundraiser. This year our goal is $25,000, and we are asking each student to raise $300 to help cover costs for services such as clinicians, transportation, food, equipment repairs and special events. 2nd will be our day of service on Saturday, March 18th. ALL students commit to a 4-hour workday to give back and beautify Roswell. It’s a really fun day! We will post sign-up sheets next week so you can pick the spot where you want to help! Parents- we will need help with chaperoning at the sites too.
To get started, we are asking each of you to log in to Membership Toolkit to access your student's personal fundraising page. From there, you can use the quick links to share via e-mail, Facebook and Twitter. If you prefer, simply use the upload section to load e-mail addresses, and we will take care of the rest!
We're excited for our next concert this Tuesday, March 7! The Pre-LGPE concert is an evening of enjoyable music (as always!) and provides an additional opportunity for our students to play their LGPE pieces in front of an audience before the actual performance day.
Seniors! Prior to the Pre-LGPE concert this Tuesday, Mr. Fagan will be taking both group and individual pictures of our band seniors. Therefore, we are asking all seniors to come to RHS early at 5 pm.
LGPE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
LGPE is this Friday, March 10! We need chaperones throughout the day at LGPE as well as folks to ride the bus from RHS to Centennial High School. Since transportation is provided TO Centennial only, we would also like to have some drivers on call who can take students back to RHS. To sign up to chaperone and/or assist with driving, please click here. Thank you for your support of the Band!
INDOOR DRUMLINE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteer opportunities are below for the next 3 competitions; if you're not able to volunteer, please come to the show and support our fantastic IDL!
As crazy as it sounds, our end-of-year banquet on May 16 is around the corner. We would love volunteers to help with the planning - please reach out to Stuart at stuartdougherty@gmail.com if you are interested in being on the committee. Many hands make light work!
