M.A.R.C.H. stands for Musicians Acting with Responsibility, Compassion, and Hard work. This is our largest annual fundraiser and supports all of our band students from classroom bands, marching band, color guard and indoor drumline. Our goal is to raise a significant amount of the operational funds for the RHS band in a single workday. We are also striving to create ownership within the band student body while making a substantial impact in our community. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to our band program!
There are two parts to this event. 1st is our online fundraiser. This year our goal is $25,000, and we are asking each student to raise $300 to help cover costs for services such as clinicians, transportation, food, equipment repairs and special events. 2nd will be our day of service on Saturday, March 18th. ALL students commit to a 4-hour workday to give back and beautify Roswell. It’s a really fun day! We will post sign-up sheets next week so you can pick the spot where you want to help! Parents- we will need help with chaperoning at the sites too.
To get started, we are asking each of you to log in to Membership Toolkit to access your student's personal fundraising page. From there, you can use the quick links to share via e-mail, Facebook and Twitter. If you prefer, simply use the upload section to load e-mail addresses, and we will take care of the rest!
Make sure our next concert on March 7 is marked on your calendar! The Pre-LGPE concert is an evening of enjoyable music (as always!) and provides an additional opportunity for our students to play their LGPE pieces in front of an audience before the actual performance day.
Seniors! Prior to the Pre-LGPE concert on March 7, Mr. Fagan will be taking both group and individual pictures of our band seniors. Therefore, we are asking all seniors to come to RHS early - call time to be announced in the TWIB and Stinger next week.
Save the date: the LGPE concert is on March 10 at Centennial High School. All parents and music lovers are invited to attend; additional details will be provided soon!
INDOOR DRUMLINE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We had a great competition on Saturday - thanks to our parent volunteers for your support! Volunteer opportunities are below for the next 2 competitions; if you're not able to volunteer, please come to the show and support our fantastic IDL!
We would like to give a big Hornet thank you to the members of the Fulton County Board of Education. These professionals played a big part in Roswell High School acquiring new band uniforms, 3 new sousaphones, a new rosewood xylophone, AND a new concert vibraphone for our students! Our program is stronger because of their support, and we can't thank them enough!
INDOOR DRUMLINE 2/25 COMPETITION WAS A SUCCESS
Our Indoor Drumline had their first competition on Saturday and placed 5th! Way to go!
