WOW, what an exciting week for our band...and the excitement keeps on rolling as we prepare for Indoor Drumline competitions to kick off and prepare for M.A.R.C.H.!
What an absolutely spectacular day we had on Wednesday with the Vanderbilt University Wind Symphony! We were treated with sectionals with the students and a fantastic concert. Thanks "Vandy" for spending the afternoon with us!!
WHOA NELLY! LOOK AT THESE NEW UNIFORMS!
After the Vanderbilt group left, the students were surprised with a reveal of our new Marching Band Uniform! This has been an amazing process of sketches and edits to finally arrive at our new look. Special thanks to the talented artists at Stanbury Band Uniforms for working with us to design and create this one-of-a-kind uniform for our band. Can't wait to see these on the football field next year!
INDOOR DRUMLINE KICKS OFF COMPETITION THIS WEEK - VOLUNTEER NOW
We are excited for our Indoor Drumline ("IDL") competitions to start this Saturday, February 25! Volunteer opportunities are below for the next 3 competitions; if you're not able to volunteer, please come to the show and support our fantastic IDL!
Thanks to our sponsor Fifth Third Bank for having the Jazz Band perform at their Ribbon Cutting ceremony last week! We enjoyed playing for the community. Band family, please consider visiting the newest branch of Fifth Third Bank (665 W Crossville Rd.) for any of your financial service needs!
FEBRUARY BAND BOOSTER ASSOCIATION MEETING
The February Band Booster Association meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7pm, and all band families are invited to attend. This month's meeting is in person at Panera Bread (1195 Woodstock Rd.) or via Zoom.
We'll talk about the current happenings with the band and also plan for the upcoming months. Feel free to come ask any questions you may have! If you're looking for a chance to volunteer with the band, this is an easy way to get plugged in by learning more "behind the scenes" information.
Hope to see you there!
HAVE 30 SECONDS AND AN OPINION? IF SO, COMPLETE THIS SURVEY!
With so many exciting things happening for the band in the upcoming year, we are looking into additional fundraising opportunities. We are exploring the possibility of a fundraising opportunity with Legends Hospitality/Ameris Ampitheater in Alpharetta. If we work at one of the concession stands at Ameris Ampitheater during a concert/event, RHSBBA will receive a percentage of sales as well as all tips earned (and listen to a free concert)!
To help us plan, please take this 30-second survey by Friday, 2/24. One survey per family, please -- thanks to those families who have already submitted their response!
Please note, we are not asking for commitment right now; we are gauging interest and availability to see if this is a viable fundraising option for us.
