ROSWELL BAND MATTRESS SALE IS NEXT WEEK!  (Sat. Aug. 27)

The upcoming mattress sale is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.  The RHS Band will receive a portion of each sale which will help cover band activities and expenses.  We are partnering with CFS Atlanta North and a large variety of mattresses will be available at every price point.

 We encourage all of our band students and families to come by the sale even if they are not planning to make a purchase.  Please consider dropping by and showing your support for the RHS band!  Wear one of your band T-shirts or other band attire if possible!

HALL BAND (Friday Aug. 19 @ 7:45 a.m.)

Hall Band is when the Marching Band students stroll through the RHS hallways playing their showtunes in order to rev-up the Hornet spirit among the students before school.  Marching Band students should wear their black RHS shirt with their black RHS hat.  Senior students often wear camo pants as per RHS tradition.

DENMARK AT ROSWELL (Friday Aug. 19)

The RHS Football season starts this Friday!  The first game will be at home against the Denmark Danes.  Tickets must be purchased online and you must show the ticket on your mobile device for entry.  The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and Marching Band students should follow the game itinerary listed below.  Go Hornets!!!

If you are coming to the football games, please come sit down next to the band! If you are on the home side of the field the band is in the top section of the stands closest to the school. Look for the black podium in the stands. There will be a sectioned off area for the band but we would love for all our families and friends to join us in this area of the stands just outside the sectioned off area.

Please remember that purchases from the visitor concession stand goes to support the band program.

New this year!  Parking during home football games is now offered near and around the band room (see map above).  This area will be a pay parking area ($5/vehicle) and all proceeds will go to the RHS band.

Volunteer!WE NEED YOU!!!  We are currently short on Grillers and Concession Stand volunteers for this game.  Please see the Volunteer Information section below and sign up!

RHS CLEAR BAG POLICY

RHS has a Clear Bag Policy at football games.  No purses, color totes, backpacks, or coolers will be allowed in the stadium.  You will be asked to take your bag/purse back to your car.

But don't worry, Roswell Clear Tote bags will be available for purchase at the stadium entrance for $10 each.  Proceeds from bag sales will go to the RHS Band.

GAME ITINERARY FOR MARCHING BAND (Friday Aug. 19)

***IMPORTANT***: FROM THE 3:30pm  BELL DISMISSAL UNTIL 5:15pm, MARCHING BAND STUDENTS WILL BE IN THE BAND ROOM.  STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS. At this time students will be given a light snack and water. It is highly encourage that students pack an extra meal to also eat during this time. 

** Note Marching Band students will not be served pre-game dinners during home games this season.  They will receive a light snack and if they want they can pack an extra meal to eat during band rehearsal before the game.  Before all Home games, families are highly encouraged to pre-purchase 3rd Quarter Meals for their student (see below).

PARENTS - HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT 3rd QUARTER MEALS?

If your marching band student purchases meals during home football games, then 3rd Quarter Meals may be just the ticket! This option allows the pre-purchase of student meals so that they will no longer need to bring cash to the game. Students simply go over to the Visitor's Concessions stand during the 3rd quarter to pick up their prepaid meals.  (Deadline for ordering 3rd Quarter Meals: Wednesday, Aug. 17th at 6 p.m.)

To order 3rd Quarter Meals, go to the RHS Band website and log into your account.  Then, open the menu:

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Thanks to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer at a band event.  Volunteers are crucial for our band events. 

If you are new to volunteering, please complete the Fulton County Volunteer Registration Application.  After you are done, please forward the completion confirmation email to Stuart Dougherty at supportservices@roswellband.com. 

Also, remember to pick up a volunteer badge from the band room kitchen when you arrive.

Parents of Senior Marching Band Students - Please check your Membership Toolkit account for an invoice that was sent to you regarding your purchase of the individual student banner that will hang in the RHS stadium during the 2022 fall season.  After the season is over, the banner will be yours to keep!
